these kids man~

Ok, so as you might be able to guess, there are many times when I have to use my electronic dictionary to figure out what the heck people are saying here. Well, I had to go to school today (Sunday) for the school festival and one of my english teachers and students came up to me and said something in japanese and wanted me to translate it. well i didnt know the verb and when i looked it up, it said "brace" and things along those lines. well the rest of the words in the sentence were boy, brace, is doing ... and then they added toilet. huh? the boy is bracing himeself in the toilet? then the teacher procedes to do a discrete gesture and it all clicks. this is their polite way of saying someone is taking a dump! well they wanted me to translate it and im like, uhhh? well ... u can say pooping, but i guess the more discrete way is that he's going number 2. the kids can understand that, and they are like 2? huh? then the teacher figures out why its called number 2, we all have a good laugh, they walk away, and i just shake my head going oh man, the things ive had to translate the last couple of days. funny stuff man!

well it looks like i might actually be getting a life soon and become pretty popular. going out with some of my teachers on tuesday night for dinner, then going to onsen with one of them later in the month. going to 2 (yes 2, i dont think id even been to that many this entire year!) meetings this week. going camping this weekend and getting phone calls from random people. can we just say all of a sudden? damn ... now i almost wish i could just have a quite night at home and relax with my new lighting since i bought a lamp! :-P

ok, off to bed! i have to teach the little kiddies tomorrow and possibly try and squeeze out a day or 2 off on tuesday because i went to school on sat and sun and everyone else seems to get days off to make up for it. what's up that? im tired yo!

good night ...
