i can't say it enough ... i love fall! this really is the first time i get to experience a proper fall with leaves changing color and all that. growing up in southern california, i got a little bit of it, but not to the extent im getting here. and then in orange county the trees were just confused and didn't know what to do.
but here in aomori, it's absolutely gorgeous!!! went out to kuroishi today and we walked around this park area that has shrines and just beautiful grounds. we crunched through all the leaves on the ground while looking at brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows. ill post the pics here because im actually out of space on my picture page for a little while. let me tell ya, the pictures just dont do it justice.
lately its actually been warming up a little bit, but they say its supposed to get really cold this week and possibly snow a little bit! yikes!! ive discovered that i can actually bake in the oven that i have ... made a chocolate cake last night and it was oh so yummy! we're gonna try and plan a thanksgiving deal too ... ahh, holidays. it'll be my first time away from home. im definately sad about that and wish i could go home (wouldn't it be awesome to have a magical transportation device that just beamed me over instead of the 14+ hours it required to actually get home). but i hope we can bring a little bit of the holiday spirit here.

oh what beutiful pictures! I am so glad that you can experience fall to the fullest ! there is nothing like it! Daddy said a foot of snow is expected in Mammoth today and tonight, winter is coming! I hope you have a great thanksgiving and we will be missing you very much! love and miss you
