what a shake!

thanks to everyone for your concern about the earthquake. it was centered in miyagi which is a good 2 - 3 hours (by train) away from me. it's been all over the news. according to the japanese scale it was a 6 out of a 7 point scale, richter scale measured 7.2 and it caused quite a bit of damage. being as far as i am away from it though, all we felt was a little tremmor. it was weird because i was sitting at my desk and i thought i felt something move, then it got a little larger and continued on for a good 15 seconds (at least). everyone in the office was like, earthquake earthquake! i don't think it was any stronger than a 3.5 or 4.0 where i was. my first earthquake in japan though! everyone in the office asked if i was scared and i told them we get earthquakes in california as well, so i was fine. actually thought it was kind of fun :P but i hope everyone is okay where it was much stronger.

today i'm off to aomori for the orientation. should be fun, 2 nights and 3 days in a hotel with all the other jets. i wonder what kind of trouble we will get ourselves into ... heee. it will probably about a week before i can post again because im taking monday off to go get my car! woo woo!! later ya'll :)
