yatte mare!

hey everyone!

i've been busy with the festival (Tachi Nebuta) since friday, thus the lack in blogging. the first day was marked with a great fireworks display. i took the next picture with my cell phone (fireworks and cell phones rock in japan!).

i call this "oppai no hanabi" ~ if you can guess the translation for this, i'll give you a pat on the back ;)

saturday was actually the first day of the festival and i thought it was going to be cancelled because a typhoon came in from the south. but it moved out just in time for us go on with the show! and i've been playing taiko every day since. today is the 5th and last day, and i am tired!!

my new friends, natsu and manami.

this guy is call gun-dan and he follows us while we play taiko. i think he looks like a transformer

this is the float that is in front of us. these things are huge! you can see the electrical lines right?

my taiko buddy, megumi, and i getting pumped up before the start of the parade.

before going out on the street.

out on the town. it really is a sight to see these huge floats walking down the street.
with friends after the parade!
