sayonara ...

1st off, the layout of this blog is all weird. i've tried to fix it but it's being stubborn, so try and imagine where all the captions are supposed to go :-P

it's been a busy week! becky came to visit from the states last week and some of us went down to sendai to visit her and another friend.

we saw weird chairs

toured model homes

came across funny signs

ate really small pizza

and visited a really beautiful area called mitsushima (my camera died that day so i'll have to wait and get pictures from my friends before i can post some).
then becky came up to aomori and we had a big get together at one of our favorite izakayas, daihachi. nori finally came and met my friends for the first time and that was a lot of fun!

the next night a few of us went to ajigasawa and that was my last night with becky :( i was so happy she came to visit though. it was great seeing her!

the next day nori and i headed out for a little get away to hakodate. we took the ferry there and spent the night at a beautiful onsen hotel called yunokawa onsen where we soaked ourselves in the onsen and ate really good food! there are no pictures of the onsen because you have to get naked in order to bathe. the boys and girls are separated of course (well sometimes they aren't, but i've never been to those kind of baths). and when you get out you feel soooooooooo relaxed.

after the food we went up to hakodate mountain to see one of the most famous views in japan. the weather was absolutely perfect (lucky us) and it was breath taking!

the next day we walked around the bay area and did some shopping and then headed back to aomori even though we wanted to stay another day.

on saturday, there was a going away bbq for my friends chris and yuki who are leaving for yokohama on monday. they will be sorely missed up here but it'll be fun to go down there to visit them in the big city.
school starts tomorrow which marks the end of summer. it went by fast, but i'm kind of happy that it will no longer be hot :)
