long weekend ... woo hoo!

so there were no classes yesterday, but i still went to school. one of the teachers was actually surprised to see me because neither of the english teachers were there! but i still went, figured i could do prep work for next weeks classes. and surprisingly ... i actually got a lot of work done!! i was thinking about asking my vice-principal if i could go to the BOE after lunch but i ended up staying until it was time to go and finished prepping for next week, well mostly. and it was cool. i got to see something really funny! imagine a group of 9th graders (both guys and girls) wearing a 20 lb sympathy belly. whats a sympathy belly u might be asking ... its a make shift boobs and pregnant belly to simulate what it would be like to be pregnant. the kids have to put the belly on and do random chores like cleaning, and carrying stuff. the funniest thing to watch was what it was like to have to lie down to go to sleep, get back up, take off and on their shoes and socks and then picking something random up off the floor. it was hilarious! all the kids going, ahh, its heavy, it hurts! good stuff!

why is it that whenever there is a holiday the weather turns to crap? i swear, all week long, its nice outside when we have to be inside in the classrooms. but as soon as the weekend comes (especially when there is a long weekend) the clouds come and rain on our parade! punk! well anyways, im headed down to tokyo to see some sua friends and im totally jazzed. hopefully i will buy a camera while im down there so i can start uploading pictures on this thing! yay! but until then im gonna go bum around the house and listen to the rain! look for updates in a couple of days!
